Kim Scott's various careers have been diverse and colorful. She has worked in the psychiatric unit of a maximum security prison, as an assistant to the program manager for the Big 3, directed auto sales for a major magazine publishing company, served as a family liason for the U.S. Army, worked as a paralegal, waitress, and an accounts payable clerk.
This author of Regarding Ruth and In Ruth's Memory, had always written casually, but in light of some health concerns, a friend encouraged Kim to begin writing for real. A third book in her series of historical fiction, On Grace's Shoulders, is currently available in paperback and on Kindle. With stories set in 18th century Maine, Kim relies on inspiration from her physical surroundings, a keen interest in her ancestors, and the time period.
Kim Scott, a wife and stepmother, lives in Southern Maine.
